Hi! I’m Andy, a clinical psychologist here with Melbourne Wellbeing Group. I work with adults experiencing obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, alcohol and substance use issues, trauma, and sleep difficulties. I take a person-centred approach to therapy. This involves getting to know you, the issues impacting your life, your therapeutic goals, the history of your concerns, problematic patterns, and developing a treatment plan that is collaborative, transparent, and evidence-based. By taking this approach, I hope to create an authentic, empathetic, safe space, where you feel comfortable sharing your difficulties, so that we can work together to improve your wellbeing. While I am trained in a range of therapies such as exposure response prevention (ERP), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and schema therapy (ST), I will draw on the modalities which will be most beneficial to you and your goals.
