Therapy with Morgan
I have a deep interest in understanding and supporting clients who are experiencing a range of mental health concerns. I take a collaborative, evidence-based approach to therapy, working with each person to develop a personalised pathway that reflects their unique experiences and needs. I prioritise creating a safe and inviting space where clients feel comfortable exploring what is happening in their lives. Therapy can feel challenging, whether it is someone’s first time or they have engaged in counselling before, so I aim to work alongside clients to break difficulties down into manageable steps and support them in moving toward meaningful change. I strongly value the therapeutic relationship and believe that feeling heard, understood, and respected is fundamental to positive outcomes in therapy.
I believe people hold valuable insight into their own experiences, and this perspective is central to the work we do together. I approach therapy with warmth, openness, and empathy, and take a strengths-based, client-centred approach that recognises the courage it takes to seek support. I work with adolescents (12+) and adults across the lifespan, with a particular focus on anxiety and depression, using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Brief Solution-Focused Therapy alongside other evidence-informed approaches when appropriate.
My approach emphasises thorough case formulation so that interventions feel relevant, achievable, and tailored to each individual. When working with adolescents, I aim to foster a sense of agency as independence develops while collaborating with parents to maintain support and safety. With adult clients, we work together to create a reflective and supportive space to navigate life’s challenges and work toward meaningful, sustainable change.
