Paola is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and is registered with Medicare and major private health insurances to provide psychological services. Paola has over 9 years experience as a psychologist and over 2 years experience as a social worker. She has experience in a range of settings including disability services; homelessness services; schools; community health; migrants, international students, refugees and asylum seekers support services, and private practice. Paola is interested in working with people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds, particularly from Latin America. Paola is a native Spanish speaker who welcomes the Spanish speaking community to access psychological services in their mother language. As a social worker, Paola has had the opportunity to work as a case worker, with people who have experienced homelessness or are at risk of homelessness. This has led her to create specific programs to address the effects that homelessness can have in a person’s life. Paola has worked as a case manager with clients who have hoarding issues. This experience has allowed her to learn about people’s day to day lives and what happens beyond a consulting room, giving her skills to provide holistic interventions to clients.
