Sophie is a Clinical Psychologist based in regional Western Australia, and the owner of Sophie Burren Psychology. Sophie provides telehealth clinical psychology services for those living in regional WA. Sophie believes that everyone should have access to safe, inclusive, and appropriate mental health supports; no matter their situation or location. Sophie works from an integrated and collaborative approach to best meet her clients where they are at, with a focus on providing holistic care. Sophie is experienced in working with clients who have experienced or are diagnosed with; complex and sexual trauma, family domestic violence, assaults, medical trauma, accident and emergency, chronic illness, anxiety disorders, depression, burnout and compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, panic disorders, adjustment difficulties, motor vehicle accidents, grief and loss, and more. Drawing from a range of theoretical models inclusive of the biopsychosocial model and attachment theory, Sophie is well versed in the delivery of an eclectic mix of evidence-based interventions including but not limited to Schema Therapy, Mentalization Based Treatment, Emotion Focused Therapy, Trauma Focused-CBT, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and CBT to ensure that her care for you, meets you where you are at.
