Mouri is a dedicated clinician with four years of clinical experience and a decade of work in the domestic violence sector, crisis services, casework, and support work. She has expertise in trauma-focused interventions and culturally responsive care, working with clients across the lifespan from diverse backgrounds.
She is skilled in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy, supporting individuals experiencing anxiety and mood disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, post-traumatic stress (including complex PTSD), Substance Use disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and eating disorders.
Mouri applies DBT’s four core modules-Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness-tailoring interventions to each client’s needs.
DBT is particularly effective for individuals struggling with:
• Emotional dysregulation – Intense mood swings, distress intolerance, emotional outbursts.
• Self-harm or suicidal behaviours – Chronic suicidality, self-injury, recurrent crises.
• Impulse control issues – Maladaptive coping, binge eating, substance use.
• Complex trauma histories – Trauma-related emotional instability and relationship struggles.
• Interpersonal difficulties – Unstable relationships, fear of abandonment, conflict patterns.
She welcomes referrals for individuals who require structured, skills-based therapy, particularly when standard CBT has been ineffective or high-risk behaviours impact daily life.
Mouri integrates an intersectional feminist framework into her practice, ensuring evidence-based, client-centred care. She is set to achieve full registration as a psychologist in May 2025.
