About Michelle I’m an AASW Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and have had the privilege of walking alongside individuals and families across Worimi and Biripi Countries (MidCoast region) since 2002, and as a qualified Social Worker since 2018. At Dara Therapy, I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin to make sense of your experiences. My work is guided by an attachment and systems lens — meaning I gently consider the relationships, family stories, and wider contexts that influence your sense of self. I believe healing begins with safety and connection. Your lived experience matters deeply, and I trust in your inherent strength and inner wisdom. Therapy isn’t about fixing — it’s about supporting you to reconnect with yourself and others, at a pace that feels steady and right for you. Dara Therapy offers: • Approved Victims Services NSW counselling (up to 22 hours of funded support for eligible participants - Victims Support Scheme | NSW Government) • NDIS therapeutic supports • In-person and telehealth sessions available • Integrated, evidence-based trauma therapies including EMDR, Resource Therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, DBT and TF-ACT • Counselling for children, adolescents and adults • Over 24 years’ experience within the local human services sector, with strong collaborative relationships and knowledge of community and mainstream supports.
