Miss Danielle Roan Speech Pathologist

After personally benefiting from speech pathology services, Danielle has a unique appreciation for the role they can play in the lives of individuals and families. She graduated with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology with Honours from Southern Cross University on the Gold Coast. During her studies, she worked in placements with children and adults with various communication and swallowing difficulties across numerous settings. Danielle also has over 18 months experience as a disability support worker. She is passionate about supporting individuals to access the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), participate in and develop relationships within the community. Danielle is dedicated to integrating the skills acquired from both fields of speech pathology and disability. Supporting early speech and language skills through augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) particularly in the population of Autism Spectrum Disorder are of particular interest for her. She is committed to working within the multidisciplinary team at Bayside Health Nook and professional development to provide high quality, practical support enhancing quality of life for clients. She is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist and member of Speech Pathology Australia.
