Ali is a dedicated Registered Psychologist, initially starting her career in vocational rehabilitation and private practice in Darwin, before relocating back to Perth WA. Ali's combined experience working in private practice and occupational injury management allowed her to support individuals from various cultural backgrounds, and those navigating workplace and non-work-related injuries and psychological injury claims, providing evidence-based assessment and therapeutic interventions to clients with various and complex mental health needs. Ali's practice draws on a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Motivational Counselling, and Solution Focused Therapy skills. Ali has experience with providing psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults, and supporting a diverse client base including (but not limited to):
• private (Medicare),
• Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA),
• Western Australian and Northern Territory Police,
• and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) referrals.
While Ali has experience with a variety of mental health presentations, she has developed particular clinical interest working with individuals impacted by relationship and attachment difficulties, LGBTQI+ mental health, mood and personality disorders, and childhood trauma, and she is committed to providing safe, affirming, and evidence-based care in these areas.
