Ruth Minkov

Psychologist

I provide neuro-affirming assessments and psychotherapy sessions for autism and ADHD in adults, both in-person and via telehealth. My approach is informed by advanced clinical training in neuropsychology as well as lived experience of neurodivergence, allowing me to offer a deep level of understanding and expertise. I have a particular interest in the diagnosis of autism in women and take into account factors such as camouflaging and compensatory behaviors. In addition to diagnostic assessments, I offer follow-up sessions to help individuals process their results, navigate next steps, and access appropriate supports. I also conduct cognitive assessments, which can be provided alongside or separate from neurodevelopmental evaluations. In my therapeutic practice, I blend coaching and psychotherapy to offer both practical strategies for immediate challenges and deeper emotional work for lasting change. My approach is collaborative and grounded in mutual respect, ensuring therapy is a partnership rather than a top-down process. Whether you're seeking insight into emotional patterns, support with executive functioning challenges, or guidance in navigating a neurotypical world, I tailor my approach to your unique needs, including sensory and cognitive accommodations. I draw on evidence-based modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and neuro-affirming Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support my clients in building confidence, emotional resilience, and a life that aligns with their values. I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, complex trauma, PTSD, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and attachment or relationship difficulties. I also provide support for ADHD-related struggles such as executive functioning challenges, impulsivity, and emotional regulation, as well as autism-related concerns like communication difficulties, masking, autistic burnout, and self-advocacy. Additionally, I help individuals navigate workplace challenges, including managing conflict, advocating for accommodations, and coping with occupational burnout in environments designed for neurotypical ways of working.
