Claudia is a warm and compassionate counsellor offering a reflective space for people to explore their relationships and the impact of challenging life experiences on their mental health and wellbeing. She supports people to develop their own capacity for healing and recovery through insight, reflection, skill development and self care.
Claudia is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker providing therapeutic counselling, group work, education and training, and clinical supervision. She has 20 years of experience working with individuals, families and carers with mental health concerns within community health, aged, disability and mental health services, family and carer support services, community palliative care and grief and bereavement services. She has specialist training and expertise in grief and bereavement, particularly complex and traumatic grief.
Claudia uses an person-centred and collaborative approach in working with individuals and families. She combines a range of evidence based psychological counselling for mental health, emotional wellbeing, and personal development including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (ITP), Psychoeducation and Mindfulness based practices.
