Michelle Pangallo (She/her)Psychologist

Michelle’s gentle and warm nature provides a safe and welcoming environment for clients. She believes the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in supporting self-understanding and growth. Michelle has special interest in the areas of trauma, pain, chronic illness as well as relationship and intimacy concerns. She has experience working with childhood sexual trauma, PTSD, attachment trauma and sexual issues such as dyspareunia, sexual anxiety, and desire difficulties. Michelle is passionate about helping people find safety and connection back into the wisdom of the body. Learning to cultivate embodied awareness supports us in responding adaptively and with compassion to challenging experiences, including pain. She is experienced in supporting the LGBTIQA+ community, and is sex positive and supportive of diverse intimacy and relationship structures and practices. Michelle is committed to ongoing professional development and is also interested in contributing to research, having recently published an article on persistent pain, embodiment and interoception with a physiotherapy colleague. She has also recently published a SHIPS blog in Embodiment & Sex.
