Self Connect Psychology *I will be on annual leave between 14th March 2025 and 8th June 2025* I am a registered clinical psychologist with experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across non-for-profit and government mental health services. My typical approach in therapy is “gentle but direct”. I value creating a safe therapeutic environment for people to develop the trust they need to feel safe and working in a person-centred approach. For some, this may mean sessions are spent working at their own pace and just getting to know one another so that they feel safe to discuss and feel what is really important to them. I particularly enjoy helping people gain a deeper understanding of how past experiences may be affecting their present life, and developing the skills they need to manage day-to-day. When I’m not working, one can find me using terrible puns, being outdoors unless its above 35C, and asking strangers if I can pat their dogs. Client groups: I have experience working with self-harm, suicidal thoughts, anxiety and depressive disorders, relationship issues, and past trauma experiences including during childhood. My therapeutic special interests are working with personality disorders, sexualised behaviours in adolescents, ADHD, and recovery from trauma. I also have experience working with people navigating a criminal Court system for charges related to their trauma experiences. At present, I work with adolescents and adults, however I am open to referrals for sexualised behaviours in children under 12yrs of age.
