Melinda is a humanistic psychologist who is authentic and down to earth. She has worked extensively with people living with anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment issues and life transitions throughout the life span and is passionate about supporting people as they navigate the parenting journey. First Nations families, Rainbow families and neurodivergent clients will find Melinda’s practice affirming, understanding and welcoming. She is committed to delivering high-quality and compassionate care for each unique individual she works with. Melinda will support and guide you towards a deeper understanding and insight of yourself and your situation, offering you the opportunity to experiment with new ways of approaching your experiences while becoming more self compassionate so that life begins to feel more satisfying. Melinda holds a Masters degree in clinical psychology and over 20 years of professional experience. She has worked within diverse settings with clients, including services for women and children, perinatal mental health, secondary schools, private practice and youth dual diagnosis services. Her therapeutic approach is influenced by training in Dadirri, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Gestalt therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Circle of Security, and the Collaborate Proactive Solutions Model. Melinda works with infant / parent dyads, children aged 8+, adolescents and adults.
