I'm a communication-focused generalist, with expertise in:
• early intervention and parent coaching for speech delay and language difficulties
• assessment and intervention for speech sound disorders
• stuttering management
• literacy support
• support with AAC systems e.g. key word sign, speech-generating device, other visuals (cards/ boards)
• FOR ADULTS: managing persistent stuttering; managing communication difficulties due to stroke, traumatic brain injury, dementia and other disabilities (mainly via teaching compensatory strategies and partner training)
I can also provide initial assessment and education on:
• motor speech disorders
• voice disorders
• dysphagia (screening and general advice on safe swallowing, NOT formal assessment or comprehensive mealtime management)
Besides 1:1 sessions, I can provide information sessions for parents on some topics they may be interested in:
• signs of speech and language disorders
• key language stimulation strategies
