Overview
My name is Mark Davidson, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, and I am writing to introduce my counselling practice based at in Hamilton, Reset.Rebuild. I am currently accepting referrals and offering therapeutic support to individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan. I have a particular focus on men’s mental health, trauma, and complex family challenges, drawing on over 24 years of experience in the community services sector.
I bring a holistic and collaborative approach, utilising a range of evidence-based therapies including ACT, CBT, DBT, schema therapy, narrative practice and attachment-based work. I have supported people of all ages to manage anxiety, depression, grief, parenting difficulties, disability, and trauma-related challenges.
Alongside my professional work, I am also a proud member of the Newcastle community, where my wife and I are raising our large family. I have extensive professional and lived experience with neurodiversity, disability, and complex family dynamics, which has deepened my empathy and understanding of the very real challenges individuals and families face. This experience informs my ability to build trust, connect authentically, and support clients from all walks of life.
I hold a current Medicare provider number and am available to support patients referred under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). I also accept referrals through Victims Services and self- or plan-managed NDIS supports. With client consent, I am happy to provide updates to GPs and other referring professionals to ensure continuity of care and alignment with broader support needs.
If you would like to discuss potential referrals or would like more information about my services, please feel free to get in touch.
