Overview

Madeleine is a Clinical Psychologist who completed a Masters in Clinical Psychology (adolescent and child specialisation) in 2011. She has practiced in a range of clinical settings including hospital and public mental health services at the Alfred Child & Youth Mental Health Service and the Royal Children’s Hospital, working with vulnerable young people and families with complex mental health problems. Madeleine is an endorsed Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA and an approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia. Along with her work in private practice, she is currently a senior clinical psychologist at Alfred Health’s headspace centres where she provides supervision and training to postgraduate Psychologists. Madeleine is passionate about working with children, adolescents and adults. She believes in the importance of a holistic, collaborative approach to better understand and address a range of clinical issues, including anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, eating problems, grief and loss and adjustment difficulties. Madeleine has extensive experience providing comprehensive clinical assessment and formulation, which guides evidence-based and individually-tailored interventions. She has training and experience in a range of therapies and treatment modalities including, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Attachment-based and Schema informed therapies, Mindfulness and child-focused parent work. Her work is influenced by developmental, relational, psychodynamic and systemic perspectives. Madeleine has a warm, caring and genuine therapeutic approach which prioritises the development of a strong, empathic relationship with her clients. Madeleine also offers clinical supervision for psychologists and mental health clinicians, including psychologists completing the clinical registrar program.
