Holly Suen

Psychologist

Holly is a Registered Psychologist with a Master of Education and Developmental Psychology from the University of Western Sydney. Holly is a dedicated therapist with over 15 years of experience working with individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours utilising person-centred, evidence-based clinical practice. She is competent in delivering psychotherapy, conducting clinical assessments, intervention planning, design and implementation. Holly is compassionate in working with children and adults with a history of developmental trauma or disabilities, utilising CBT, ACT, and DBT approaches. Holly strives to improve the quality of life and well-being of her clients. Holly has a strong interest in neuroscience and has recently completed the Master of Brain and Mind Sciences at The University of Sydney. Holly is a Medicare provider and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Holly speaks fluent English and Cantonese and can conduct sessions in either language.

Megan Lewis

Psychologist (Provisional)

Meg is a Provisional Psychologist registered with AHPRA in our Macquarie Psychology Clinic and Registered Play Therapist with the Australasian Play Therapy Association (APPTA), bringing over 20 years of professional experience working with children, young people, and families across specialised services in child protection, out-of-home care, family relationships, and family law. With more than five years of direct therapeutic experience as a Play Therapist, Meg works with children and young people from diverse populations experiencing mental, behavioural, and emotional health challenges arising from exposure to domestic violence, alcohol and other drug use, grief and loss, childhood neglect, abuse, and trauma. Megan has a particular interest and expertise in supporting children, young people, and their families where intergenerational trauma is present. Megan works within a trauma-informed and person-centred framework, and firmly believes that the therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of meaningful progress in therapy. Her warm, friendly, and approachable manner is central to her practice, enabling her to create a safe and supportive space where children and families feel genuinely heard and understood. “I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is the most powerful vehicle for change. My goal is to ensure every child and family who walks through the door feels safe, seen, and supported.” Megan is a trained companion and experienced facilitator of Seasons for Growth, an evidence-based eight-session grief and loss program for children and young people. Megan holds a Master of Mental Health Science (Child Psychotherapy) and has completed the Graduate Diploma in Psychology Advanced at Monash University. She is currently enrolled in the Master of Professional Psychology at Macquarie University, where she is completing the study and supervised practice requirements towards general registration as a Psychologist.

Saakshi Koul(She/her)

Saakshi is a warm and passionate Provisional Psychologist in our Macquarie Clinic and is on track to complete her Master of Clinical Psychology in 2027. She is dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive therapeutic space where people feel comfortable, understood, and respected throughout their mental health journey. Saakshi has a strong interest in anxiety-related difficulties, emotional regulation, trauma-related presentations, and the ways cultural background and lived experiences can shape psychological well-being. She values building strong therapeutic relationships and believes in using evidence-based research and practices to tailor support to each individual's unique needs and goals. Through her training, Saakshi has developed experience conducting and reporting psychometric assessments for children and adolescents, as well as implementing evidence-based interventions, including behavioural activation, exposure-based approaches, cognitive restructuring, and behavioural experiments.

Shivani Jain(She/her)

Psychologist

Shivani is a Registered Psychologist at our Macquarie Psychology Clinic, who works with adolescents and adults across a broad range of mental health presentations, including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, trauma, and stress-related conditions. She utilises evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness–Based CBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) principles, tailoring treatment to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. Shivani adopts a warm, collaborative, and client-centred approach, supporting individuals to develop insight, resilience, and practical strategies to improve their wellbeing and quality of life. Shivani holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of New South Wales, a Graduate Diploma of Psychology (Advanced) from Monash University, a Master of Professional Psychology from Bond University, and a Graduate Diploma of Professional Psychology from the College of Professional Psychology. Her academic and professional training has provided her with a strong foundation in evidence–based psychological assessment and intervention. Shivani is passionate about creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout their mental health journey. Sonja Kram

Psychologist

Sonja is a Registered Clinical Psychologist at our Macquarie Psychology Clinic, with over 25 years of experience, spanning public health, private practice, and the corporate wellbeing sector. Sonja has worked in the public hospital system at Westmead Children’s Hospital, Sydney Children’s Hospital, and with the Child and Youth Mental Health Team at Hornsby Hospital, where she progressed to the position of Clinical Lead. She has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of infants, children, adolescents, parenting and family psychology, and has worked with a wide variety of presenting issues. Sonja has also worked as a School Psychologist in three independent schools and served on the Psychologists in Schools Interest Group committee of the Australian Psychological Society for three years. Sonja was the Perinatal Psychologist for Hornsby Ku-ring-gai District, supporting pregnant women (and their partners) with antenatal and postnatal mental health difficulties, difficulties adjusting to parenthood, improving the quality of attachment and bonding with their infant, and confidence in parenting and co-parenting, working closely with the Maternity and Safestart Teams at Hornsby Hospitals, and the Child and Family Health Teams in Northern Sydney. Subsequently, she was appointed as Area Manager for the Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Service of Northern Sydney Local Health District, overseeing 4 teams across the district. Sonja has also held various clinical and leadership roles in the private sector, delivering clinical services to adults of all stages of life, and every type of clinical presentation, as well as EAP counselling and Critical Incident Response. Sonja has been a Psychology Board of Australia Approved Supervisor since 2005, with over 20 years of experience training psychologists on clinical placement, provisional psychologists and psychologists seeking specialised endorsement in Clinical Psychology with AHPRA. She has also provided individual and group supervision to a range of other allied health staff such as nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychiatry registrars and peer workers. Sonja has been the external clinical supervisor for teams of staff working in organisations such as Northern Sydney CYMHS and a private Inpatient Mental Health Hospital. Sonja is experienced in national-level clinical governance and management, ensuring safe and quality mental health care with positive patient/client outcomes, managing day-to-day clinical operations, responding to feedback and complaints, people and performance management, and has initiated and implemented many quality improvement initiatives at scale using change management frameworks. Sonja is passionate about developing high-quality staff and teams, excellence in clinical service delivery, continuous improvement and innovation, and integration of evidence-based digital health and AI technology into mental health treatment. Sonja is currently the Acting Convenor for the ePsychology Interest Group of the Australian Psychological Society.
