Liz Wilson began practising Pilates in 1993 and is one of Perth’s most highly trained and experienced Pilates practitioners. As a Principal Trainer Member of the Pilates Alliance of Australasia (PAA) she holds multiple Pilates certifications in mat, reformer and studio/rehabilitation Pilates. Liz founded The Perth Pilates Studio in 2000 and was its Studio Director until 2019. In 2019 she sold the business in order to concentrate more fully on teacher training. Liz has been a member of the Polestar Pilates teacher training faculty since 2003. She is a senior educator & examiner who presents on the Pilates method at conferences and workshops around the world. In addition, Liz has been a barre teacher trainer since 2011. Liz has trained many high-end athletes including the Australian National Cycling Team, the West Australian Football League, the West Australian Ballet and with cast members of popular musicals such as Mary Poppins and Miss Saigon. Most Pilates instructors and Pilates-based physiotherapists in Perth have either worked or studied with Liz at some point in their careers.
