She qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in the United Kingdom in 2017 and has worked extensively within child and adolescent and parent-baby psychology services. Liz is particularly passionate about parent-baby and early childhood mental health and supporting parents of babies and young children. She brings a strong understanding of infant and child development and works with sleep, toileting, behaviour, separation anxiety, developmental difficulties, attachment and the challenges that can arise during the early years. For parents of babies and young children, you may be worried about sleep, behaviour, toileting, separation, development or your relationship with your child. For older children and teenagers, concerns may include anxiety, big emotions, behavioural or social difficulties, ADHD, Autism or low confidence. As an adult, you may be experiencing anxiety, OCD, panic or phobias, trauma, grief, stress, social anxiety or low self-esteem. Liz may also be a good fit if you would like to explore whether EMDR may be appropriate. Liz Approach Liz describes herself as a compassionate, gentle and patient therapist. Her core training includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Systemic Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy. She has additional training in EMDR, Compassion Focused Therapy, Video Interaction Guidance, Personalised Individual Parent Training and group parenting programs. Babies, Young Children & Parenting Liz has particular expertise and interest in working with parents and children under five. She values parents' expertise and, where appropriate, works with parents as active partners in therapy. EMDR Therapy Liz is trained in EMDR and has a particular interest in trauma and PTSD. Experience Across Diverse Communities Much of Liz's clinical experience was gained in London, where she worked with people from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds and across diverse genders and sexualities. This contributes to her appreciation of the role that culture, identity, family and individual circumstances can play in wellbeing.
