Stacey Bowden is a registered psychologist who specialises in client centred Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (DBT). Stacey obtained her master’s degree in Psychology from Waikato University in 2005 and then completed her two year internship with the Department of Corrections in 2011. Stacey has experience working with a variety of mental health problems, child disorders and behavioural difficulties, offending behaviour, and personality pathology, assessment and treatment for victims of sexual abuse and pain management. Stacey believes in a holistic approach to recovery and prides herself on being culturally responsive. With basic knowledge of Te Reo, and eight years’ experience working with Maori and Pacific people, Stacey ensures that treatment plans are tailored to each individual’s unique cultural and spiritual needs.
Stacey works from Hamilton and is flexible to travel out of town if requested (travel costs additional).
