Having completed her medical training at Monash University (MBBS) in 2005, Tissa went on to complete her basic physician training at Eastern Health and Advanced Gastroenterology training in Melbourne (Western Health) and Sydney (Concord Health), gaining FRACP in 2012. Tissa has gained further expert clinical experience via an 18 month (2014/15) senior clinical fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Advanced Endoscopy at Royal London Hospital, the largest NHS network in the UK, along with a Research/ Clinical Fellowship in Clinical nutrition at St Mark's hospital, UK.
