Lilian Koh Psychologist

Lilian is a registered clinical psychologist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, and is registered with Medicare to provide services under the Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. She has more than 10 years of experience working with older adolescents and adults with varied presentations across different cultures. She has worked across different settings including private practice, community and prisons. She has also held a range of consultation and training roles including group therapy, risk assessment, and treatment for a range of clinical and forensic psychological issues. While Lilian has worked with clients with a variety of issues, her specialised interests lie in addiction, anger and aggression, depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, personality difficulties, psychosis, self-esteem, and adjustment issues. She utilises a client-focused and strengths-based approach to therapy and draws upon a range of evidenced-based strategies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness. Lilian believes that therapy should be a collaborative process and is individualised depending on the client’s presenting concerns. She ensures that she creates a warm, empathetic and non-judgemental space for clients, and encourages open and honest communication to ensure that clients feel comfortable in sharing their thoughts, feelings, behaviours and any feedback about the process. Above all, Lilian is passionate about empowering her clients to facilitate personal growth.
