Lauren Byrne Social Worker (Candidate)

My name is Lauren Byrne and I am a registered member of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW). I have been working as a mental health clinical social worker for over 14 years and have experience in a range of acute and non-acute mental health settings in both adult and adolescent settings. I currently work for Forensicare which is a public mental health service. I have extensive experience in mental health and risk assessments for both adults, families and young people that have diagnosed psychiatric disorders, substance abuse issues, behavioral and developmental disorders and those involved within the criminal justice system. In addition to comprehensive mental health assessments. I have extensive experience in providing case management and therapeutic psychological support and treatment to individuals with complex needs relating to trauma, substance use, high prevenance disorders and behavioral issues. My primary focus is to support and treat individuals in their road to recovery so that their day-to-day functioning and quality of life improves and allows them to continue to achieve set goals.
