Expressing yourself with just words can sometimes be tough. Art therapy offers you a safe and creative space to visualise your inner world rather than just talking about it. As an art psychotherapist, I am here to help you explore and share your feelings using creative materials in a warm and supportive environment. Together, we work to understand and embrace emotions that might feel too overwhelming to talk about, while finding ways to manage them and take charge of your life. My therapeutic approach integrates principles of neuroscience and neuro-affirming practice into a systems-focused therapy model. This allows us to explore how family, community, and relationships contribute to your well-being. I like to focus on strengths instead of diagnoses, empowering you to live your best life! I focus on making therapy feel collaborative and comfortable, always ensuring that my person-centred approach aligns with your interests and needs. I have over two years of experience working with children and young people living with complex trauma, disability, and comorbid mental health concerns. I am genuinely passionate about creating art and believe in its incredible ability to transform lives. Having faced my own journey with disability and mental health challenges, I understand just how uplifting self-expression through art can be. I am registered with the Australian, New Zealand, and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association (ANZACATA) and the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), holding a Master of Art Therapy (MA ATh) and a Bachelor of Creative Arts (BCA) in Visual Arts and Creative Writing.
