Accredited Mental Health Social worker and Registered Play Therapist with over 18 years’ experience in public and private mental health and NDIS settings in Australia and Overseas. I provide a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support individuals in reaching their full potential. I offer therapeutic support to children, adolescents and young adults. I am also a registered clinical Social Work Supervisor and Play Therapy supervisor. I have a warm, friendly, and open approach, where individuals of all ages can feel supported and empowered to achieve their mental health and wellbeing goals.
I take an integrative, attachment-informed, strengths-based approach to therapy utilising a range of evidence-based treatments. I appreciate that each person’s life story and experience makes them unique and I aim to work collaboratively to plan and consider goals, with a strong emphasis on building the therapeutic relationship. Approaches may include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP/PACE), Mindfulness-Based Therapies, Child-Centred Play Therapy (CCPT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I can offer sessions under Mental Health Care Plan (obtained from your GP), privately or through NDIS. I offer clinical supervision to social workers and play therapists, supporting professional development and growth. Some private health insurance funds cover sessions for counselling with social workers, and NDIS sessions can be funded through your NDIS package.
