Kate may be a good fit for you if... You're looking for a psychologist who is warm, relatable and doesn't expect therapy to feel overly formal. You might be worrying or overthinking, feeling low or overwhelmed, getting stuck on intrusive thoughts, finding emotions difficult to manage, or struggling with confidence, friendships or relationships. If sport is an important part of your life, you may be struggling with performance pressure, competition anxiety, confidence, perfectionism, motivation, setbacks or balancing sporting demands with the rest of your life. For young men, Kate may be a particularly good fit if you're finding things difficult but don't necessarily know how to put what you're experiencing into words. Kate's Approach Kate believes therapy works best when young people can genuinely connect with their psychologist and feel comfortable being themselves. Her approach is collaborative and flexible, predominantly drawing upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), alongside principles from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Kate also has training in Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT-E) and supports some young people experiencing eating disorders and body image or eating-related concerns. Kate loves sport and, where appropriate, enjoys incorporating movement into sessions. Sports Psychology & Athlete Wellbeing Kate has a particular interest in the intersection between psychological wellbeing, sport and performance. She enjoys supporting adolescents and young adults with performance or competition anxiety, confidence, perfectionism, motivation, managing pressure, coping with setbacks and maintaining wellbeing alongside the demands of sport. Appointments In-person at Willow Tree Psychology & Wellbeing in Felixstow, Adelaide, with Telehealth available Australia-wide where clinically appropriate. www.willowtreepsychology.com.au | 08 82330828 | info@willowtreepsychology.com.au
