Life can feel overwhelming and you don't have to navigate it alone.
Whether you're carrying the weight of past trauma, struggling through anxiety or depression, finding parenthood harder than expected, or simply feeling stuck, I'm here to help you make sense of what's going on and find a way forward that feels right for you.
I'm Karen, a psychologist based in Burleigh with a particular focus on trauma, perinatal and women's health, and supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through some of life's most challenging moments. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a genuine commitment to creating a space where you feel truly heard, not judged, not rushed, just understood.
Areas I work with include:
Anxiety and depression
Trauma and PTSD
Women's health and perinatal wellbeing
Emotional regulation difficulties
Attachment-related challenges and relationship patterns
Life stressors and transitions
Child and adolescent mental health
My approach is tailored to you. Drawing on a range of evidence-based therapies, we'll work together to explore what's keeping you stuck, build on the strengths you already have, and develop strategies that fit your life.
Having navigated my own cancer journey, I understand in a deeply personal way how frightening and isolating hard times can feel. That experience shapes the way I show up for every client, with compassion, patience, and a genuine belief in your capacity to heal and grow.
Originally from London and proudly calling Australia home for over 24 years, I love the community I work in and feel privileged every day to do this work.
