Welcome to The Share Chair - Counselling
Real People. Real Support. Real Connection.
Our goal is to link clinical expertise with lived experience to provide a collaborative and trauma-informed support service, by assisting people to explore the impacts of life's challenges and identify pathways towards meaningful change.
I am an experienced social worker and counsellor with a strong background in psychosocial recovery, crisis intervention, and complex case management. Over the past decade, I have worked across government, community, and non-profit services, supporting veterans, people experiencing suicidal crisis, and individuals navigating the NDIS system. My approach is collaborative and recovery-oriented, with a focus on empowerment to build resilience, achieve meaningful goals, and feel supported in times of change.
Alongside my professional training, I bring the perspective of lived expertise, which deepens my understanding of recovery, resilience, and the challenges clients face when navigating mental health and systemic barriers. This combination of personal and professional insight enables me to connect authentically, foster trust, and create a safe space for meaningful conversations.
I work from a person-centred and strengths-based framework, drawing on motivational interviewing, solution-focused strategies, and evidence-based psychosocial interventions, such as Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Narrative Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. My practice emphasises safety planning, risk management, and sustainable change, while upholding compassion, respect, and inclusivity. I am committed to walking alongside clients as they navigate challenges and pursue their goals for recovery and wellbeing.
