Joseph Anderson Psychologist

Overview

Joseph is joining the team at Magnolia House as a Provisional Psychologist for two days a week. He brings a diverse background in working with children, adolescents, and families, as well as experience in NDIS support coordination and academic research. Currently completing his Master of Professional Psychology, Joseph integrates practical experience with scientific insight to inform his therapeutic approach. His research interests focus on fear and learning processes, with his first-author paper currently under review and co-authored contributions exploring the spontaneous recovery of fear responses. Joseph is passionate about supporting individuals through a collaborative and flexible therapeutic relationship. He values acceptance and respect, believing that meaningful change arises through dynamic, creative problem-solving tailored to each person’s unique challenges. His open-minded and responsive style helps clients feel heard, empowered, and actively involved in their therapeutic journey.
