Kara is a clinical psychologist and board approved supervisor with over 12 years’ experience across diverse clinical, forensic and educational settings. Kara is passionate about creating a warm, non-judgmental space to foster healing, empowerment and long-term wellness for her clients. Her approach emphasizes down-to-earth, compassionate care and holistic wellbeing, allowing clients to feel genuinely seen and supported in alignment with their personal strengths, values, and goals.
Kara has expertise in addressing a wide range of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief and relationship issues. She also has a special interest in perinatal and postnatal mental health, offering a deep understanding of the unique complexities and challenges at all stages of this journey. Kara utilises an evidence-based, integrative treatment approach tailored to individual needs, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), compassion-focused therapy (CFT), schema therapy and attachment-based therapy.

Fee (50-minute session): $250, Medicare rebate: $141.25
Kara is a clinical psychologist registered with Medicare to provide psychological services under the Better Access Initiative. Eligible clients can claim a Medicare rebate of $141.25 per individual session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. This reduces out-of-pocket costs to $104.75 per session. In order to receive a rebate from Medicare, you will need to make an appointment with your GP to obtain a referral and mental health treatment plan. Please bring a copy of your referral and mental health treatment plan to your first appointment in order to claim Medicare rebate.
