I work with adolescents 12 years+ and adults.
I have worked across several mental health settings including not for profit organisations, hospital inpatient settings, and private practice.
I like to create a supportive environment for individuals seeking therapy to enhance their well-being. I like to focus on identifying, growing and celebrating individual strengths, differences and challenges, and working alongside clients to support their personal growth and promote overall wellbeing. My therapeutic viewpoint is to emphasises balance, acceptance, and collaboration. I attempt to meet each person where they are at and co-create a plan or work towards a vision /ideal that has balance and is accepting of all parts: feeling joy and pain, celebrating wins and recognising mistakes, and being gentle and strong, whilst keeping a sense of humour along the way during sessions. My aim is to gently listen, hold space for my clients and work together in setting goals, developing strategies to manage barriers or explore your inner self. I seek to create a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space for self-exploration and growth. I aim to bring kindness, acceptance, respect, and collaboration to the therapeutic relationship and sessions. I particularly enjoy helping clients to develop self-understanding and the confidence to live a safe, authentic, meaningful life and find some joy in that process.
I have experience in supporting individuals with a range of presentations including depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationship issues, neurodevelopment disorders, bipolar, stress, personality disorders, insomnia, trauma and grief and loss, as well as adjustments to changes in relationships, work or other life events.
My sessions are client-led, and I adapt my approach to suit the unique strengths, goals, and interests of each person. I use evidence-based therapy and interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, mindfulness-based therapy and Schema Therapy.
