Dr Daniel Biddle

Psychologist

Dan is a psychologist with a particular interest in working with trauma and anxiety, but has experience working with a wide range of difficulties. Dan has practiced in primary mental health care, university clinic, specialist anxiety clinic, and inpatient private hospital settings. Dan is a strong believer in the value of evidence-based practice and is familiar with a number of well-validated therapies (e.g. cognitive-behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, attachment-focused work). However, ultimately his clinical philosophy is “do what works”. He will work with you as you determine what will be effective in your pursuit of a more rich, full, and meaningful life. Dan recognises that mental illness is common and firmly believes there is always hope for positive change.

Elise Berber

Psychologist

Elise is a provisional psychologist who has a particular interest in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, and performance (e.g. in sport, work, education, etc.). She also has experience and interest in working with a range of other difficulties. Elise has worked with clients across the lifespan in both public and private settings. She is completing a PhD and uses evidence-based practices (e.g. cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, schema therapy, interpersonal therapy, compassion focused therapy) while tailoring each session to suit the needs and interests of her client. Elise adopts a warm, understanding, compassionate and strength-focused approach to therapy. She believes that everyone is the expert in their own life and will work collaboratively with you to support and guide you through life challenges so you can reach your goals and achieve a more rich and fulfilled life.

Ellie Maroun

Psychologist

Ellie has over 10 years of experience in the mental health field working in both private and public settings. Throughout her career, Ellie has worked with people of varying ages, backgrounds and presenting difficulties. Her specific areas of interest include anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, trauma, and addictions. Ellie’s approach to therapy is warm, compassionate and strength-focused with the aim of creating a safe and reflective therapeutic space. She tailors sessions to your specific needs and draws on evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Based Therapies, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). Ellie believes that everyone deserves support and feels privileged to help you manage life’s challenges and achieve a more fulfilled life.

Mr Brendan Elliott

Psychologist

Brendan comes from a forensic and community background with experience in anxiety, depression, personality disorders, trauma, eating disorders, psychotic disorders, domestic violence, and substance use disorders. He has a strong background in working with clients at risk of suicidal and self-harming behaviour and takes a compassionate approach to helping clients overcome this. He works with clients 13+years and over. Brendan takes a holistic and personalized approach to each client, utilizing a variety of therapies to assist them to reach their goals (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy). He has over 12 years past experience working in the building trade, and understands the stressors that come from that field of work and working away from home. He always takes an evidence based approach and is not afraid to look outside the box to find what works best for the client.

Mr Jared Ardern

Counsellor

Jared has over 10 year of experience in counselling and specializes in relationship counselling. Jared is able to help create a space where clients are heard and validated. Jared forms ways for couples to talk to each other and get to the root causes of their conflict and address them rather than going round in circles of blame. Jared’s focus in relationship counselling is based on helping the couple find better ways of communicating with each other and teaching them new ways of dealing with conflict in the relationship. Jared also helps the couples establish new patterns of showing love and respect for each other and teaches them the skills needed to have a satisfying and long lasting relationship.
