Julie holds a Master of Psychology Practice Clinical, a Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Psychology and a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology Honours).She is a registered Psychologist and an approved Supervisor for Provisionally Registered Psychologists, with experience working with adolescents and adults presenting with complex needs. Julie will be undertaking her Clinical Psychology Registrar program in 2023. Julie has worked in both Government and community based health settings, including NSW Health (Sexual Assault Counsellor), NSW Rape Crisis Centre (Counsellor), CRS Australia (Work Rehabilitation Consultant), Department of Defence NNSW Psychology Manager, Senior Psychologist Tobruk Clinic, University sector (Counsellor and Counselling Services Manager), Disability sector and Criminal Justice sector. Julie has experience working with a variety of presentations including self-harm, suicide risk, complex trauma, sexual assault, domestic violence, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, Post Traumatic Stress, Personality Disorders, alcohol and substance use issues and anger management. Julie has a particular interest in the area of trauma and recovery. Julie can provide treatment utilising a variety of evidence based interventions including, Trauma Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused brief therapy, Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness based therapies.
