Ms Carla Ferrari

Carla holds full registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and specializes in providing psycholegal assessments and reports for Court, having completed her Masters degree in Forensic Psychology in 2010. Carla is often required to give evidence in Court as an expert witness and has experience working with clients of diverse backgrounds requiring psychological assessment for criminal charges, family law, Victims of Crime, and for civil matters including personal injury claims, immigration, and institutional abuse. Prior to this, Carla has been employed in both the public and private sectors, working within acute psychiatry in the Emergency Department of two busy metropolitan hospitals in Queensland for seven years before commencing private practice. As a result of her varied experience, Carla has experience with a range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, addictions (including substances, gambling, other), anger management, relationships, and stress. Carla has developed specific expertise in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and has undertaken accreditation in the USA to be recognized internationally as an ADHD Coach. She has also completed professional development courses in Family Law Counselling and Psychological First Aid and provides professional supervision to other psychologists as a Board-Approved Supervisor. She is also in the final stage of the Forensic Registrar program, and is a member of the American Psychology-Law Society and the Global Institute of Forensic Research.
