Ernestina (Erni) Burchmore is a registered professional acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner and has been in private practice for over 20 years. She studied acupuncture and Chinese language and culture at the University of Technology (UTS), Sydney, including spending a year in China during which she studied with the head of the acupuncture ward in the Zhejiang State Hospital. Erni uses acupuncture and TCM to treat difficult, often chronic issues that are persistent and may not respond satisfactorily to drug based medicine. She is also active in human fertility and employs effective acupuncture and TCM techniques to enhance both female and male fertility. Ernestina also maintains treatment of women throughout pregnancy, to promote the safe natural delivery of their babies. Acupuncture and TCM can also be used to address a multitude of non-specific aches, pains and addictive behaviours. Other, non-penetrating therapies used by Ernestina in conjunction with acupuncture include moxibustion and heat therapy, low level laser acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, channel and acupressure massage, vacuum cupping and dermal scraping. Traditional Chinese herbs are usually dispensed in an easy to consume powdered granular form (for tea), or as digestible capsules or spherical black pearls. Granular herbs can also be dissolved in a warm bath as a foot soak or body bath (for babies and young children) where indicated. Iman is a registered Acupuncturist, Herbal Medicine Practitioner, and Herbal Medicine Dispenser with AHPRA and CMBA. She is a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS). Iman has earned a Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Western Sydney University. She has completed 3 months of clinical training in Nanjing, China, at the Nanjing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where she was trained by doctors of both Western and Eastern medicine, with specialties in Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Gyneacology, Psychiatry, and Neurology. Her main areas of interest include cosmetic acupuncture, skin conditions, pain management, women's health, digestion, Insomnia, migraines, and general wellbeing.
