Lisa has more than 20 years experience working with children and adolescents across Brisbane and Ipswich. She has worked as a Guidance Officer in primary, secondary, and special schools, and at Early Childhood Developmental Programs (ECDP). She has also worked in the roles of Teacher, Behaviour Support Teacher, Guidance Officer (Intensive Behaviour Support), in both primary and secondary schools.
Lisa is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA), is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi), and is a fully registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She is also endorsed as a provider of psychological services through Medicare, and provides psychological services to NDIS and ECIA recipients.
Lisa is committed to building a person-centred therapeutic relationship, where clients feel safe and their strengths are valued. Her approaches are individualised for each client, and can include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Interactive Drawing Therapy (IDT), Positive Psychology, emotion coaching, and mindfulness strategies. Her professional interests include anxiety, trauma, self-regulation, eating disorders, and learning disabilities.
Lisa conducts intelligence assessments, adaptive functioning assessments, and achievement assessments, for children and adolescents. She has particular interests in diagnosing Specific Learning Disorders, and Intellectual Disability.
Lisa is able to conduct school observations, attend school meetings, liaise with stakeholders, and provide written reports, on request. The prices for these are individualised and negotiated in context of your individual requirements.
