Emma may be a good fit for you if...
You're looking for a psychologist who is warm, practical and collaborative and who will work alongside you to understand what's happening and develop useful skills.
You may be experiencing anxiety, panic, low mood, intrusive thoughts, intense emotions, relationship patterns or longstanding mental health difficulties.
You may also be managing chronic pain or an ongoing health condition and finding its impact extends into mood, relationships, independence or quality of life.
Emma's Approach
Emma believes therapy should be collaborative and focused on what matters to the individual. She enjoys helping clients learn new skills, navigate challenges and move towards what DBT describes as building a life worth living.
Her therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Emma has substantial experience with DBT. During her work in public mental health she facilitated DBT groups for adults experiencing Borderline Personality Disorder, and she continues this interest as a Willow Tree DBT group facilitator.
