Thanks for taking the time to read a little about Emily Stanley Counselling. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Psychotherapist who provides evidenced-based counselling in a safe and supportive space. In every session I prioritise creating an accepting, welcoming environment where people feel safe to explore the challenges and issues having the biggest impact on their lives. To learn more about my therapeutic approach, please have a look at my website.​ I provide a general counselling service, supporting anything from every life challenges to complex mental health and trauma experiences. Over 10+ years I have gained extensive specialist experience in the areas of eating disorders, grief and loss, complex trauma, sexual abuse and domestic violence, refugee and asylum seeker support, disability support and foster and kinship care. Additionally, I have gained extensive experience working in schools across greater Brisbane, as a tutor and guest lecturer in the Masters of Counselling program at the University of Queensland and delivering training, mentoring and supervision to other health professionals. Outside of work, I am a Mum to an energetic and enthusiastic toddler, enjoy yoga, pilates, music and travel, and love to spend time with family and friends. I love silly dancing, trivia and games, and a good belly laugh!
