Overview

Elizabeth Talbot is a relatable and empathic Clinical Psychologist who recognises the importance of the client-therapist relationship. She treats a wide range of clinical and non-clinical issues, however has a special interest in ADHD and anxiety-related disorders, such as generalised anxiety, panic, worry, social anxiety, OCD, and stress. Elizabeth strives to help her clients uncover and examine the underlying processes and beliefs that impact on their daily functioning. From this foundation, and with her support, clients can then begin to build and implement new strategies to shift entrenched patterns and move forward with more confidence and ease. Clients find her compassionate, pragmatic and good-humoured approach combined with her depth of knowledge helps them achieve their goals in a way that speaks to their individual preferences and needs. In terms of theoretical frameworks, Elizabeth primarily utilise Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), with influences from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy. Sessions are client-driven and treatment goals and techniques are selected based on client strengths, personality, and always with their input. Elizabeth is Medicare registered, and can provide therapy face-to-face or via Telehealth (Zoom or phone).
