Info

Overview

Tamara is a psychologist who works mainly with adults with neurodevelopmental disorders (such as autism and ADHD). She also has a passion for working with adults with chronic mental health problems (depression, anxiety and personality disorders such as borderline personality disorder) which stem from complex developmental trauma. Tamara primarily uses cognitive behaviour therapy to provide skills training to support the symptoms of executive dysfunction and mental health concerns in neurodevelopmental disorders. In adults with complex developmental trauma she uses schema therapy to help clients understand how early experiences have shaped maladaptive patterns of behaviour, emotions and thinking. She has worked as a psychologist in a range of hospital, not for profit and private settings. She completed her PhD in 2013 which focused on gender, mental health, executive functioning and academic attainment in children with neurodevelopmental disorders. Tamara continues to work in research while practicing as a psychologist. Tamara is also available to run training sessions for psychologists on the psychosocial treatment of adult ADHD.
