Dr Suraj Samtani completed a PhD and Masters in Clinical Psychology from UNSW Sydney. He completed his Bachelor of Psychology (Honours I) from the University of Sydney. He is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Dr Samtani is trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). He also provides Parent Management Training and CBT for children and adolescents.
Dr Samtani is a researcher and clinician providing high quality care for children, adolescents and adults. His PhD in Clinical Psychology was on the management of worry in anxiety and depression, and he currently does dementia research at UNSW Sydney. He has extensive experience helping adults with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Bipolar Disorder and other mental health issues. Dr Samtani also helps children, adolescents, and their families to manage anxiety, depression, ASD, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and behavioural issues. He has advanced training in child and adolescent anxiety and depression treatment from Macquarie University (Cool Kids and Cool Little Kids programs). Dr Samtani lectures Child and Adolescent Mental Health at NYU Sydney.
