Steven graduated medical school with honours from Monash University, and has been practising as a specialist general practitioner and preventative health consultant since attaining his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He also holds a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney.
Steven has worked extensively across the fields of intensive care, general medicine, and geriatric medicine in both public and private services before making his transition into community-based practice.
Steven believes holistic and tailored patient-centred care can be better delivered through innovative care models in conjunction with efficient use of technology.
He has a special clinical interest in applied genetics, preventative health, adolescent health, mental health, complex medical conditions, and geriatric medicine. Steven is also a trained provider of focused psychological strategies, including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and interpersonal therapy (ITP).
In addition to clinical work, Steven has various roles and affiliations across governance, advocacy, education, advisory, and research domains.
In his free time, Steven enjoys films, travelling and playing sports, as well as family time - which is spent mostly indulging in good food and playing with his two young daughters.
