Dr Peter Wysocki graduated from The University of Queensland and went to complete his surgical training locally in 2003. He elected to continue a further 3 years of training in Pancreatic and Biliary surgery. He lives on the south
side with his wife and children. He speaks fluent Polish and has commenced consulting at the McCullough
Specialist Centre, on site at the Sunnybank Private Hospital campus.
Dr Wysocki is the Deputy Director of Surgery at Logan Hospital on Brisbane's south side and a senior lecturer at
the Griffith University Medical School. He is involved in clinical research with multiple peer reviewed publications.
He instructs on the Early Management of Severe Trauma (EMST) course run by the Royal Australasian College of
Surgeons. He is passionate about Building Respect and Improving Patient Safety.
He holds an Honorary Research Fellowship of the Queensland Audit of Surgical Mortality; is the President of the International Pilonidal Society and Editor-in-Chief of the Pilonidal Sinus Journal.
