Naomi has been a counselling psychologist for almost 20 years, and has worked her entire career in our beautiful Mallee region. Over this time, she has had the absolute honour to work beside many rural people, families and communities, providing support through the tough times, and celebrating the wins. Naomi's clinical approach is trauma-informed, inclusive, and neuroaffirming, and looks beyond all of the diagnoses and labels to really connect with and understand those who she works with - human to human. Naomi's areas of special interest and experience are supporting late identified neurodivergent adults and those who have experienced trauma, as well as supporting cross neurotype couples.
As principal psychologist, Naomi has had the honour of mentoring, supervising, supporting and nurturing other clinicians to do the same. And as ALSLP director, she has had the honour of supporting the growth of our amazing admin A-team, without whom none of our services would be possible, and watch our services grow.
Naomi is a deeply passionate, driven (stubborn), and creative human. She is the most introverted of introverts! Naomi loves her family, and is proud of the humans her 4 kids have grown into. She loves growing veggies, hanging out with her fur babies, reading and listening to music. Deep down she is a massive nerd who loves learning, and thrives on challenge. Authenticity is Naomi's strongest core value, and she values close friendships and deep conversations. Naomi is proudly neurodivergent, and embraces her mixed neurotype (autistic and ADHD) for all of its incredible gifts and challenges.
Naomi loves strong black coffee, dark chocolate and lady grey tea.
She is exceptionally skilled at “dad” jokes.
She loves sharing in the online space, and is honoured to connect with you, whether silently, privately, publicly, or in person. Naomi hopes that it can make a positive difference, even if it gives just one person a smile, or helps someone feel less alone.
