Overview

I am trained as a clinical social worker, and I am professionally registered with the relevant association both in Australia and South Africa. I am also a trained and certified health coach. I combine my dual training in social work and health coaching. This means that while I am able to hold difficult emotions and work through these, I also make use of practical tools that get my clients moving forward in ways that are significant. I am associated with two universities (the ANU in Australia and Stellenbosch in South Africa) as a research professor. I utilise my research skills to remain up to date on the latest evidence around health, wellbeing, and psychosocial innovations. I work both online and in person. I also avail myself to doing home visit with clients who are unable to leave home. My specialist areas are: Management of chronic illness End of life wellness Substance Use Disorders Obesity management/reduction Mental Health (depression, anxiety, mood disorders) ADD and ADHD I am a dual citizen of South Africa and Australia. I move between the two countries. In South Africa I am primarily located in Durban, but I also have a residence in Johannesburg. I live in Australia for a few months each year. This is my second home, but might become my primary home in the future. I am very mobile as my children are now living away from home at university.
