Breast Physician | Menopause Specialist GP
Hello there!
My name is Michelle Delamont. I am an experienced breast physician with more than
35 years of clinical experience across hospital medicine, general practice, and
specialised breast care. I am delighted to be joining Dr Nancy Momoff at Harmonia and
to be contributing to her clinic’s commitment to high-quality, compassionate women’s
healthcare.
I began my career in general practice, achieving my Fellowship of the Royal Australian
College of General Practitioners in 1995. I later qualified as a Breast Physician and have
spent over 17 years working at the Wesley Breast Clinic, where I developed extensive
experience in breast assessment, diagnosis, and long-term care.
Spurred on by my clinical work, I developed a strong professional interest in
menopausal health and the broader impacts of hormonal change and aging over the
last decade. My long-standing interest in improving health outcomes for women, both at
an individual and population level, prompted further study in Public Health and led me
to my current role as State Clinical Director for BreastScreen Queensland.
My own experience with menopause sharpened my motivation to support and educate
women meaningfully through what can be a complex and highly individual stage of life. I
am passionate about empowering women with clear, evidence-based information and
helping them best navigate informed decisions that optimise their long-term health and
wellbeing.
Outside of work, I prioritise my own health and wellbeing through dancing, Pilates,
swimming, and hiking, the latter of which my four fully-grown children are sometimes
roped into doing with me. I feel deeply privileged to support women in regaining a sense
of themselves during the time around menopause and helping them approach their
health decisions with confidence.
