Dr Michelle Chan (BAppSci.Osteo, M.Osteo, GradCert.Paed, MPH) is a practicing Osteopath in Salamander Bay, Port Stephens. Michelle is an Australian registered Osteopath with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Osteopathy Australia (OA). As a recipient of a scholarship funded by the Services for Australian Rural and Remote Health (SARRAH) organisation, Michelle completed a Master of Public Health with Distinction at the University of Newcastle in 2019. Osteopathy is a hands on approach to healthcare recognising the important link between the structures of your body & the way it works. Osteopaths focus on how your skeleton, joints, muscles, nerves, blood and lymphatic circulation works together to improve your health & well-being. With over 20 years of clinical experience, Michelle is the principal osteopath and owner of Port Stephens Osteopathy, Salamander Bay (since 2006) and founder of Wanda Health Co., in March 2026. The practice is located in the Wanda Beach village also known to locals as Old Salamander. Before establishing in Salamander Bay, Michelle practiced in Orange and Dubbo in private practice from 2004-2006. Michelle has experience with acute and chronic conditions such as, but not limited to, musculoskeletal pain, headaches, work and sports related injuries. Michelle also has experience with treating babies to centenarians, with a new interest in Chronic Fatigue and post viral neurolymphatic conditions including long covid using the Perrin Technique. Michelle has post graduate qualifications in infant and paediatric manual therapy (Victorian University of Technology) and Workplace Ergonomic Assessment (Corporate Work Health Australia), and is a licenced Perrin Technique Practitioner. Michelle is a registered service provider with Medicare, SIRA, NSW Department of Veterans’ Affairs and Private Health Funds.
