Mel is a Clinical and Health Psychologist with over 15 years of experience working in mental health. Mel has worked across private practice, inpatient and community mental health settings, with children, adolescents, adults and families. She is experienced in both individual and group therapy.
Mel is passionate about helping to empower people to overcome obstacles and work towards creating meaningful life changes. Her areas of skill include trauma, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, grief, stress and relationship issues.
Mel adopts a range of evidence-based therapy models to help people reach their goals including schema Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. Mel believes in a person-centred approach and will help by tailoring treatment models to individual needs.
