Overview

Psychology has been a lifelong passion and it’s a privilege to work with people to discover their strengths and their goals and support them in living their best life. I believe effective therapy is based on authentic communication that acknowledges YOU as the expert in your own life. I aim to facilitate therapeutic conversations and share psychological tools to help you navigate new ways forward. My approach is to provide a supportive setting for you to explore your unique experiences, gain new perspectives, and restore confidence and resilience. I enjoy helping people to recover from grief and trauma, manage stress, improve communication, and regain their health and quality of life. It is always inspiring to witness people’s personal journeys of healing and transformation. Katrina is trained in evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). She is committed to continuing professional development (CPD) and attends regular workshops, seminars, and supervision. Katrina is registered with AHPRA and SIRA and VOC and provides Clinical Psychology services under Medicare. She held membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS) for over ten years and represented her local APS Committee in 2018. Katrina has completed Honours’ and Masters’ degrees in Psychology (UNE: 2004, 2010) and a PhD in Health Sciences (USYD, 2017). Katrina has 15 years’ experience working with individuals of all ages from diverse backgrounds with various clinical concerns.
