Overview

I became a psychologist because I wanted to help people improve their lives, so I find it incredibly rewarding to engage in this process with you. I offer a supportive, non-judgmental and accepting environment for my clients to feel safe so that they can openly discuss the issues that they would like to change. Therapy is a collaborative process and together, we will explore the things that are bothering you and work to create a treatment plan that best fits you. Jessie has a Bachelor of Arts – Honours Psychology, a Master of Clinical Psychology and a Ph.D. She is registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA). She is trained in various evidence-based therapies including cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. Jessie has expertise with the psychological impact of perinatal loss, the topic of her Ph.D. She has worked with adults experiencing mood disorders, personality disorders, procrastination, anxiety and grief. Jessie has worked in different environments including hospitals, at a community mental residential rehabilitation centre and at community and university clinics.
